Sampler Declaration Form for APHIS (PPQ925/CFIA-528)

To ship pedigreed seed into the United States, a Federal Noxious Weed Exam must be completed by an accredited analyst, followed by the creation of an APHIS document. In order for BioVision to issue the APHIS, clients are requested to complete a Declaration of Sampler Form and send it to us with your seed sample. The information provided on the Declaration of Sampler Form and the test results are consolidated onto the APHIS document. Keep in mind that the volume we analyze is crop specific (Canola 70 grams; Cereals 500 grams; Forages call our office). Download the Declaration of Sampler Form by selecting the web button.

CDC Triffid GMO Event Test Form for Flax

The CDC TRIFFID GMO Event Test (FP967 Event) continues to be an integral component of the Canadian flax grain and seed quality assurance programs. Since BioVision is a fully integrated laboratory, we can conduct germination, physical purity, 1000 kernel weight and the CDC Triffid GMO event test simultaneously and report all results on one Report of Analysis. We adhere to the Real-Time PCR protocol, with a 0.01% detection limit, and continue to achieve all benchmarks on the validation samples to maintain accreditation. The Flax Council of Canada no longer provides subsidized testing (Feb 28, 2014). BioVision’s CDC Triffid GMO Event Test Form can be downloaded by selecting the web button.

Refuge Testing for Midge Tolerant Wheat Submission Form

Wheat midge refuge testing is now available with BioVision. Midge tolerant wheat varieties are sold as a “varietal blend”, which constitutes roughly 90% midge tolerant variety and 10% midge susceptible variety. The susceptible variety in the varietal blend (VB) is called the 'refuge'. Without this extremely important component to the varieties, midge tolerance would break down very quickly. Want to learn more about midge tolerant wheat? Visit www.midgetolerantwheat.ca.
